AP 2-D Art and Design

AP 2-D Art and Design is a two-year portfolio program in which students explore a broad range of media, techniques, and artistic concepts.

During the first year, students experiment with materials and ideas, maintain a sketchbook, identify a personal creative direction, and begin developing a Sustained Investigation.

In the second year, students refine their technical abilities, strengthen their creative vision, and produce a cohesive body of finished work. They also document their process and explain the thinking behind their artistic decisions.
